Well, i have a t39 and the only complain i have about it is in the SMS department. Perhaps it's the habit of having a nokia (4 prior nokia phones) i can't seem to find the function to save a phone number when that person sms me. The dictionary doesn't add unless it's a word longer than the one before. Does anyone encounter this or am i the only one?
Other than that, everything's peachy! Love the battery life, love the bluetooth and love the looks of the phone.

Redwings,
Just scroll through the SMS until the number you want is highlighted and press yes. then scroll down to save # (where # is the number you highlighted). It will say saved to add contact menu. go to phonebook>add contact. enter the details (name) then scroll to the type of number (eg home, mobile, etc.) where you want to store the number, hit yes, then left, then scroll to unsaved numbers and pick the number you want to be saved.
It's a little complicated but at least it can be done.
About the T9, we just have to live with it. It's admitted on this board that nokias sms writing capability is far from ericssons. It's a small price to pay for a phone with everything

It doesn't have everything, unfortunately.
But for me, it's the best phone with the most balanced features available right now. Even the T68's color screen doesn't tempt me, or the promise of MMS.
The T39 would have been perfect if they can improve its SMS user-friendliness (including the T9), the rest of the "features" would be mere eccentricities
Could this be done via a firmware upgrade? (I wish.)

Jhermano,
Thanks, guess it's a small sacrifice to make for the other features.
Great tip.
Does this happen on the T68 too? Am thinking of getting it...either that or the Nokia 7210.....

Well said GOwin. It seems like the T39 has almost been forgotten on this site. Nice to hear some solid T39 owners.

Yah it's strange, have been reading the search and all and came across a lot of ppl being rather unhappy about their T68.
The T68 does look good and was (am) thinking about switching, but after reading all the threads, think getting the T39 was a good choice.
Let's hope we'll hear more from T39 users!

Yes, I have to agree it's a great phone, but I upgraded to the T68i and I find this phone better and a lot more good looking!

That's true. Even with reviews on other sites, the T39 is 100% recommended while the T68 isn't.
But then...still can't help but be amazed at the colored screen...
