Figured out a cheap and efficient way of doing this through this camblog service at textamerica.com. So basically if you go to http://thehunts.textamerica.com you'll find the page for The Hunts. The list is there so that you can check it out there as well. Now instead of posting your images here, you can send them directly via MMS or email one by one. So you're walking down the street, pass a McDonalds, snap a shot of Ronald's glove and send it before you reach the wendy's on the next corner. Images should be sent to thehunts.itson@tamw.com with a subject that names what the item in the picture is and a name for yourself.

This keeps things closer to realtime. Maybe later be able to implement some sort of counter or something like that to make it faster, funner, cooler... I'm open to suggestions.

What about the custom license plate?! We don't have that in Holland! (I wish though.)

if your host supports some server side scripting language (php, asp, coldfusion, jsp, whatever) then what you can do is create an app that will post the things that we should be hunting so when it displays the list, also have it display the timestamp when it was posted.

Then have another app that lets user register their nick and can upload their pix after that (or maybe even an app that automate the handling of emails sent to the address you've given -- extract the pix from the email and get the item name/sendee from the subject line)

Also include the timestamp as when the image was uploaded so people can see how fast how the person was able to get the pix from the list (=

ps.
I have to agree with mathibus that 48 hours is too short to get all these pix.

48 hours is too less, how about a week for 10 pictures? I love the initiative, it really sounds fun. I'll participate later! This message was posted from a T300
