read some posts about voicestream, and there were some recommendations that you should contact them directly for the correct settings.
it seems that they don't publish out the settings. try to do a search of the local posts to see what i mean.

update: best i can tell it's the voicestream gateway that's the problem. tried some of the public gateways posted here in the forum and the wap browser works much better. (I can get to esato, at least; downloaded a background today.)
