The things are impossible to cleanly afix. I sat in a chair with Brando+p800 and a ball of tape for like 3 hours, sticking my fingers, cat fur, grease... Finally got it on with an acceptable 3 or 4 bits of floaters eternally trapped. Next time I'll try to get a ride on a Soyuz rocket and put it on in orbit. I have heard that putting it on outside increases your chances of getting a clean fix.

I wouldn't use water+soap. I've heard it does indeed kill the sticky quality. The insert in the Brando even implies that you should only resort to 'washing' if there's serious grime there - pen ink, roach poo, etc. The rest of the time you should go with tape.

It's worth the trouble, especially if you use Jot often. I started getting scratches only a few days after getting the phone. I have an iPaq that's scratched to hell...

I’ve taken mine off several times to clean it and its still fine.
To remove it I take of the plate at the bottom of the P800 the one that you change if you want the flip on/off (personally for me I have if off…) anyway, talk this panel off and use a pen knife or razor blade to lift the brando. It is not sticky as such so it leaves NO marks on the P800 screen, I then clean both sides with warm soapy water then dry with a lint free cloth, I wipe the screen with the same cloth to get rid of the dust from that I then (and here is the clever bit) quickly place the brando onto the screen but not properly, any dust that is on the screen is then transferred to the brando I then remove it again and cover the P800 with some thing so no more dust can get on it and then use some stick tap to remove ALL the dust from the brando, I then re-apply the brando and hay presto dust free, clean and perfect!!!

Hope this helps, I’ve done this several times with out bother, just be careful with the knife not to damage the p800 or brando.

Excellent post.

BTW I have a Brando and an Overlay Plus and the Overlay Plus is WAAAY better - somehow the screen looks brighter and more vibrant with the O+ on whereas the Brando seemed to make the screen look dull!!!

Re. Nlhal's cleaning tips - if I were to clean my Brando in this way I'd prob spend more time cleaning that bleedin thing than I do cleaning myself!!!

But, I shall perservere with his tips this evening.

In the mean time Im looking to purchase another screen protector - a BETTER screen protector!!!

@Vermania
I know I am crazy... but hey I don't like shopping over the net. And especially not from non swedish sites. Though I always got the flip, so it's kinda safe. But yeah.. need to get protection soon... Just need to find a protection which is the greatest or something.

@Vermania
You biatch Sure I will place an order as soon as I get my salary. Which is next week. Just haven't needed one yet. Though my guess is that once I get it my phone will be in accident after accident. Making me feel relieved that I bought the screen protection.

I got my (now heavily fingerprinted) screen from DOML (which is the same as P800er.com). Ordered last Thursday and arrived today by recorded delivery - you can't argue with that. (Well you can, but the postman gets a bit miffed).
