@jhermano,

don't know about T39, but during our EB i was showing the guys my temporary T68mc loaded with R2B, Latin 1 which has English T9. so for the T68mc, definitely yes.

Arnold:
1. What is Latin 1? I've read that there is Latin 2 and 3 also.
2. How different is R2B compared to R2A? R2A is kind of slow, esp when opening the Inbox, any improvement on this?
Thanks.

@Helix617,

Latin 1 has support for English, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia languages only. The main reason we want this is because of font consistency in menus, lists, etc. I can't comment on R2A becuase I never upgraded my phone to that version. I did a R1B -> R1C -> R2B upgrade.

@arnoldc,

Ok. So I can have my T68mc converted to T68m to have T9 capability at Smartnet? How much do they charge because my phone has no warranty? Do I have to talk to a particular person or I can just approach anyone there?

Thanks!

I got 2 mc's upgraded at sony-ericsson north edsa free of charge yesterday. The latest version is r7a013 which comes in two language packs, Chinese (the one with inconsistent font sizes) and Bahasa (the one without wuziqi).

I just wanted the users to know that its free of charge (even non-warranty units) and the employees were as polite as the people at smartnet and semicon sm manila.

Good day!
