Why don't you try connecting your p800 to the pc via the cradle.

then download an mp4 off the net and using syncronization download into your phone, if you then play the file - it should be ok.

where are you getting these movie files from? I'll download them and see what the problem is.

Right...this is how it works.

I downloaded the file straight onto my phone with opera and got the same error message as you. I then noticed that there was a % on the end of the file name "2 Fast 2 Furious.mp4%"

Rename the file and remove the % from the end so that it just finishes with .mp4

It plays fine after that

@Anuj
Use qfileman to rename the file. Or you might be able to rename it in Tracker.

Or download it to your computer, change the file extension and then put it back in the phone.

I used the filemanager in tracker but you could use any of the filemanager applications.

Try File Manager it's free.

Thanks alot mate.

I aint got anything like filemanager or tracker installed. Is the file manager on the cd that came with the phone?

If not can i rename the files whilst connected (via usb) to my computer on the pc itself?

I don't think you can change file extensions when the file is on the P800 and you are using the USB cradle.

File manager can be downloaded. I am just not sure where I got it from.
