Do you have GPRS (on-line) and bluetooth activated all the time? What's about the infrared is it activated? This takes a lot of power.

Mine says 300 when fully charged and usually lasts about 270. It never lasts as well when new but even when i first bought it it lasted 200. You're not getting much out of there people they keep asking you the same questions! I recommend you take it straight back.

maybe its because u didnt charge it enough the VERY FIRST time? according to my operator, i need to charge it for at least 6 hours before i can use mine to ensure a good-performing battery.
...or, is this all crap? might have got my leg pulled. anyone to confirm this?

@Gareth: My friend als bought one (in a differen shop) and he has the same standby time, so it would be a great coincidence to have 2 faulty mobiles. I was wondering if the provider has anything to do with it. In the US most use 1900MHz, but here in Belgium I'm using Proximus (900MHz) and my friend is using Base (1800MHz).
@GoH: Li-Polymer don't need a long first charge (if i'm right).

dude that isn't normal. did your charge your battery 15hours when you bought it? ever thought of buying a new battery? your friend will have longer standby time, since base has 1800 wich uses half the power, and proximus has 900 and 1800 and your phone recieve the 2 frequenties and will use alot more.

I never charged mine any longer than normal on the first charge and it works fine. In on same gsm and it works fine.they may have made a faulty batch of batteries for all you know. Probably worth checking out. I don't think that the gsm would make the battery decrease by six times anyway do you?

And I don't think you need to charge it a long time when you charge it for the first time. First, this isn't mentioned in the manual, and second, the two last chargings, I charged him for 8 hours, and it doens't make a difference (I got the same value after 3 hours as I got after 8 hours)

I've been asking around a bit and came to the conclusion that the cause could be the simcard. Apparently mine could be too old, it dates from january 1999.
I'm not well know with this technology, so after looking around on the internet i found there are two types, phase 1 and phase 2, and 2 voltages, 3 and 5 volt. I dont know what phase uses what voltage, but apparently phase 2 has a larger memory capacity and extended funtions (call costs, etc...)
I don't know what phase my card is, but has "3 volt" on it and it has memory for 100 phone numbers.
Anybody could give me a bit more information, and confirm that this could be the cause. If yes, i'll go to my provider's shop a ask them to copy my sim to a new sim.
