I still don't believe all this "wish-wash", I mean the pictures of the "P810" look like they were taken in Saddam's secret bunker or something. Couldn't they be taken with more clarity.No.....why? Because it is just a hoax! I will happily eat my mca20 If I'm wrong....when and if that happens

yesterday a friend took delivery of her new se 610 and i must say its gorgeous. if se removed the keypad from the 610 and replaced the whole front of the phone with a touch sensitive screen that would be a small light P800 more or less? i wonder if thats what they are thinking of? i'd buy one.

customer care are mostly 1st line monkeys.

They are hardly gonna know the answer to life the universe and everything.

Anyway, as others have said, the P810 is not an update to the P800, it's a replacement.

In the same way that the Nokia 6310 was a replacement for the 6210 which was a replacement for the 6110.

In the same was as the Sony Z7 was a replacement for the Z5 etc etc etc etc etc

Hey, I know I'm right

This kinda thing gets me on my high horse at times. People expect technology to stand still.

Things in the mobile market are fast paced, always have been, the P800 is one of hundreds of mobile devices on the market, you can't expect it not to be replaced.

If, for example, on the other hand, Sony decided to replace the PS2 with a PS3 after only a year of general release, yes people would be rightly peeved, but it's a totally different scenario and product.

The P810 should be out by Q4 this year or Q1 next year... that's about right. The P800 would've been out a year already... I've had mine for about 6 months... an upgrade is due by year's end.

If the P810 comes out by next year... the P800 would be the only phone I've ever had for more than 6 months.

I hope SE keeps this pace up... if they could churn out MORE models (not just upgrades) ... that would be a good thing for them... they should have more than just 4 core models (T100/200, T300/310, T610, P800) They should have a T400 and P700 or something like that... they need something cheaper than the T610 but with the same screen... and they need something between the T610 and P800.

The P810 looks good enough to upgrade to... looks like I'll be selling my P800 in a few months!

i can't see what new the P810 will bring except for better cam, video capture function, build in flash and 65k colour screen.
the softwear update for the P800 will make ours as fast and maby video is here for us to. and we can buy the flas that fits on the T610 2. so i'm happy whit mine.
