Vermania - fortunately for me, I am only upset enough to write to you once and don't have near the time you may have to ramble on esato all day long. take a closer look at your life and determine why you feel the need to berate someone that has a question.
i am sure you will reply with an intelligent response and fully expect someone like you to bubble over with wit

@Vermania - It's definately a speaker. As for the light sensor - I'm betting that it's probably built into the camera lense...which is how cameras work. Light shines onto a photo-receptor, etc, etc. The camera software can then work out brightness levels itself. Point your camera towards a light, and then away again, and you will see it respond - regardless of whether you cover the speaker with your finger.

@Vermania
, think what it must be like as a primary school teacher, every kid has to be told the exact same stuff as the last years kids, over & over & it never stops untill one day you snap & take a hammer to the school.

hmm. i think that's the reason why most (if not all) web browsers has a back button so the more enlightened people like you can simply press on it to skip the silly questions the less enlightened people ask and simply move on to a question/topic that's more suited to your intellect

If someone asks a stupid question and you don't want to answer it, then don't; leave it to someone more patient and tolerable. The reason people post their questions here instead of reading a manual or doing a search is because a forum offers the fundamental advantage of being able to communicate with another person. Humans have an insatiable desire to help and seek help from each other, which is why a forum starts in the first place.
Esato is in danger of becoming an eletist members only zone, as if its only purpose is to exclude people. Everyone was a new poster once, and everyone has asked a question which could have been answered elsewhere. A stupid question met with anything other than an intelligent, cultured response, is to contradict the purpose of this forum's existence.
