well, I wldnt care much if it is detacheable or not
the only reason I took it off my P800 is cuz it made it look so ugly and fat!
not cuz it was inconvenient
I'd rather use the flip to dial then my fingers/stylus on the screen

I'm a flip man myself - I think the phone looks more like a phone with a keypad - plus I haven't got any finger nail because I chew them all the time. I find the phone almost impossible to use without the stylus or flip.

The flip DOES NOT COME OFF.
Absolutely 100% confirmed.
It will be of such a quality it doesn't need to.

I think the P810 looks rad with the keypad on. And since it's thinner people won't laugh as much at you when using the flip. The reason why I'm going to keep the flip on when I get a P810 is that I am 98% sure that it will have T9. Perfect for writing messages while on the move. Handwriting recognition is more suitable when you're sitting down.

Guys why are you talking about flip on or flip off on a phone that isn't even officialy anouced yet and none of you have any information about it. It are only guesses you are making

@Brimme
Think what you like. Some of us have info.
Everything I've been told suggests it does have T9 (about time)
