I do the unlock, unbranding (vodafone live, t-zone, orange), firmware upgrade & phone repair for a few years..and never charged a customer for so much money!!..

hmm - i dont think many people will do that - from my experience you have to put up with it - SE service centres wont do it - try mobilexchange. btw, i am very new to this whole thing, and i have no clue what symbian is - fill me in please!

I am still stuck with the butt ugly vodafone icons on my t610 and seem to have learnt to live with them, but today I learnt that 10 mths through my contract I can upgrade for FREE to a K700i - but of course it will be a Vodafone Live handset again and I really am peeved on looking into the spec of this phone today that various things have been mangled and altogether removed by the vodafone customisation. I would therefore be very interested to know if anyone will be able to remove the branding from the K700 - and also why is it now only possible to remove the stuff from a T610? Is it because powers that be have released whatever into the open market for ppl to be able to do it? or did it just take a long time for people in the know to work out how to do it?
