Well people I have talked to here on Esato say that the Martin Overlay plus (O+) is better then the brando and all other they have tested. It's also washable etc. So I hope it's good. I just need some protection, so I bought 2.

overlay plus, essential!

would be good if the flash accessory worked without two buttons being pressed. Perhaps this is something that could be updated in new firmware?

@bloomp
No info that was available on SE yet, since the product isn't released. But the guy I talked to "hoped" that they added this for the next upgrade. We will just have to wait and see.

It's horses for courses I think - I prefer the Brando.

My main reason for this is that it doesn't really show up fingerprints, so I don't find myself wiping it all the time and getting annoyed when something gets on it!

It sounds to me like although the Overlay Plus lets more light through, it needs to be wiped more often (although probably less than the actual screen).

I think the Brando is better for use with fingers.

I'm only going on what I've heard, so if anyone has both and could make a comparison that would be grand

Edit: oops, this is wandering off topic slightly - I'm going to start a new thread!

Pressing 2 buttons (one for camera and one for flash)??!!!

Obviously you guys don't understand a thing about photography.

When taking a photo, cameras work with 2 elements: shutter speed and lens aperture. For shutter speed, we are looking at 1/30, 1/60, 1/125 of a sec. You know how fast that is? As far as I know, if you try shooting below 1/20 (even when you use flash), probably you'll get blur pic due to camera shake. Thus, cameras are normally programmed to shoot with flash at 1/60 of a sec. If you have good hands, you can set it to 1/30 of a sec. There is thus NO WAY you can activate flash manually with that kinda speed!!! The flash will definitely miss the shot if you try to trigger it manually...

For the P800, I dunno what the sync speed its camera has. Probably 1/60 of a sec. For the flash to work effectively with its camera, there HAS TO BE a sync program between the camera and the flash to activate them both at the same time.

Manually? It is impossible... our human co-ordination can never be that precise in the region of 1/60 of a sec...

My 2 cents worth...
