What he meant was, i think, that people having CDs hanging or stuck in their cars hoping to trick radars/speed detectors are complete morons. We have quite a few over here as well. P.S. I've heard of this radar detection trick for Alcatels a couple of years ago - I thought it was yet another bad joke.

Spend $50 and get the actual radar detector to keep in your car. I don't see what the hype is. And yes, the thing with NOKIA dubbing as the radar detector has been around for 4-5 yrs. My friend, a proud Nokia owned, paid many a speeding ticket, whilst convinced his "radar detector" was on.
I guess it depends on whether or not you believe in Santa Claus...
