I've used both phones now and the funny thing is that if you combined the 2 phones they would be the perfect product.

I know there's lots of nokia haters (heck i don't like them much either but yet i use a 3650) here but the nokia does have distinct advantages over the t610 and vice versa. I prefer the t610 but i think it fails like the t68i did in the most important aspect---RF
For some reason the RF on the phone compared to the 7250 is just terrible. It drops too many calls compared to the 7250. Some of you may say the RF is fine but for me the RF struggled greatly like the t68.
The only major flaw IMO.

T610 minor flaws
Minor flaws---not enough memory an extra mb or 2 would have been very nice. The 7250 can take about 200 pics. Quality i think both or more or less the same.

Lack of speaker phone it's a great tool IMO.

Screen in the sun sucks.... damn shame.

But otherwise a superior product.

7250 minor flaws.

No bluetooth and to top it off it gives you a semi challenged infrared.
It can 't communitcate with other phones (no sharing of pics or anything EVIL NOKIA)

Screen obvious sucks in color but is more visible in the sun.

I would choose the t610 becasue i think it's cooler but in terms of praticality as a phone the 7250 woudl be a better choice. (only if your in a area plagued by poor rf.

I think the review is pretty fair.

The SE T610 should be on your shortlist together with the NK 7250. IMO, either one will make you happy but ultimately it depends on what you really need.


So depends on what u want.... So I take it when SE announce the T610 successor there gonna hype how much better reception/camera/display/sun prob/on n off buttons all fixed is?

For £250 sim free id expect things like that fixed, but thats just me.... then again there is no current perfect phone out there...

The RF problems seems to be 1900Mhz related. The people who use the T610 on the "standard" 900/1800Mhz band seems not to have the RF problems. Actually I've heard quite a few people saying that the T610 has better RF than the T68.

The people who use 1900Mhz should buy th T616 and not the T610.

agree with you that the rf problems are more confined to 1900 and that the rf on the t610 is better than the t68i
however i still think that nokias are better at this (they have to be better a something haha)
i think part of the problem is se has not made many internal antena phones conpared to nokia and they are just starting to catch up with nokia how are a few years ahead in there development of the internal antena

From what i've heard..i haven't tried the t616 yet. the t616 on cingular has only slighly better recpetion still poor compared to others.

when i had a t300 it had a better reception than the t68i. the reception is just a little jumpy on se phones fro some reason.

But flucatating signal bars on SE phones means nothing apart from that it refreshes the signal level more often than other phones.

ppcrockar people have always said that, right from my T39 which fluctuated like mad.

In my experience though, all my Nokia's, 6100 included, can hang onto calls/make calls where my T610 struggles, or would send incoming calls straight to answerphone as it was out of signal.

Finally gave up on the T610 at the weekend when the T610 had no signal and was sending callers straight to answerphone, when all the Nokia's around are displaying full strength and making/receiving calls happily.

For me RF is a definite problem....
