It must be the International T610 day or something, because I got mine this morning too.

My first impressions are very good. It's the first bluetooth phone I've used and that facility is absolutely great. It makes file transfers and phonebook/calendar syncs so much easier than when I had to use a cable and SE's software with my T65. Obviously the camera is poor, but that doesn't bother me because I never plan to use it.

Mine is 03W23 and even though I don't really know what I'm listening for, I can't make out any crackling. There is a slight hiss when making a call but it's only apparent when the other end of the line is silent.

The first thing I did with it was delete everything apart from the things that Orange had added and disabled the delete option on (about 130KB of pictures). Since then I've put on a couple of themes and I have 1948KB of memory left. That should be plently for me (although there should be more including given how cheap flash memory is these days) because I doubt I'll be using the camera much.

I've noticed already that some java games take a very long time to load and halt on the Java logo screen while doing it. It may be that your phone hasn't hung but it's just trying to complete a task.

This slowness excusable as far as I'm concerned because it's only a phone after all, and I wouldnt expect it to have great processing power or super-fast memory.

Let me clarify - the crackling/static with a bluetooth headset is a totally different problem. I have a T610 that has no hiss at all when I use the actual phone - when I use an HBH-60 bluetooth headset - I hear crackle/static - it's really a pain.

I've called Sony and they tell me to send it in - but they don't or can't tell me if they actually have a fix. I hate to send it in and be without it for a week if they don't have a fix for it yet.
