I find it only seems to happen when you choose to send a pic immediately after taking it (left function key "send" when in camera mode). Or when sending a large pic via mms, even if it's saved. I find it best to take 120x160 pics that you know you'll send via mms and they come through same size as thay are taken. Probably something that will be dealt with in a firmware update sometime in the future.

I still have had no reply from the data support guys, may try again this week. It just seems a strange problem. Why does only 02 have this problem? And it seems that this isn't just a problem that applys to the t610!

Its such a great phone, and takes really good res pics, but i can only recieve tiny pics! My bf is on Vodafone with a t610, so its really annoying!

Lets hope 02 update their software soon!

O2 are not the only network with problems, the siemens s55 did not work with Orange MMS til it had a software upgrade to support the network protocols. This message was posted from a T68i

yes. the person receiving has to have GPRS and their phone needs to be set up to receive MMS.

I was under the impression that all networks re-size images as the idea is to make the pictures compatible with all MMS-compliant mobiles regardless of spec? I'm on Orange & T-Mobile and the same happens on both.

Or am I missing something?

Dear Jennifer,

Thank you for your enquiry.

It may well be the other person that is sending you the picture who has
there handset set up in such a way to only send small pictures.

I do know that the network is configured in a way to recognise the
handset make and model the picture message is being sent from to the
make and model of the handset the message is being received at. The
network will then configure the picture message so that they are
compatible.

I have looked into the configuration settings on a T610 and there is no
option to change the size of picture. However I also know that with
some Nokia handsets there is an option to change the size of the
picture from either large or small.
