The last time I upgraded sw version from R1C to R2B.

service centre reset my phone. Every single setting was gone except joystick count.
Luckily, I made back up all data in Microsoft Outlook and "Christersson's phonebackup"

i would not hurt you one bit if you do a simple backup. it is always better to be safe than to regret it afterwards.

Christenssons phone backup is great. However it can't backup the sms messages, the wap and gprs passwords (probably for security reasons), and christensson must have a non mms version, cause it won't backup mms settings.
I flashed my t68 last week, and mms message server settings were gone, phonebook remained, filesystem's gone (pictures / sms messages / mms messages / ringtones / themes).

I cant extract the backup program, ant suggestions?
The error mess says something of enough space, but I´ll more than 500Mb free on the specified drive.
The program seems to really rock in all ways, but I´m a litte sad that I cant get it to work

SE gave this info in an article a while ago.
Usually with"normal" upgrades, all your settings will be there after the upgrade,..I did this several times,..I never lost my settings.
BUT with the mms-upgrade, SE told that settings will be lost, once upgrading.
Its because its a major upgrade. A lot of things are being moved around, and a lot of new stuff/menues are added.
I have both T68i and T68m, and the software on those two are very different, also menues and so on.

I did install it,..it does work. I just havent tried to do a back-up.
The first thing it says on the screen is something like : Warning, this is not an official software/program,..and settings might go wrong,..hehe
Really promising
(but I guess they do have to write that stuff, so that they cant be held responsibly)
But I did hear, that it should work alright.

Hi!
I have a SE T68i and phonebackup works fine with this new phone. Regarding MMS settings the answer is simple - there are no at-commands for MMS so I can not read the settings and take a backup.
I will most likely add support for SMS but there is no at-commands for SMS settings so I can not take a backup of them.
