Sorry if I'm being thick, but when I go to a name in my phonebook, then go to the edit option, I can only change the name, tel no's, etc, etc BUT cannot see the option of inserting a symbol so how do I attach a smilie to a name?! Many thanks.

Gosh!!

I must be really stupid then.

I have read this post and still can't work out how to do this smiley thing.

arnoldc, could you be so kind as to give a step-by-step of the key strokes and what you do on a T39/T68 to get this to work?

Can anyone else help.

And where do you get the smileys from?

Can you use any compatible graphic?

Help.

Many thanks in advance.

@boyi: hey mate! Smilies r there, they're just hidden (u can't see them in add symbol menu). Just insert :-* into a message and u'll see. There's more of them, but they use "[" and "]", like :-[ , :-] , [:], and theres no way to enter them with ur phone, as t68i doesn't have that symbols. But if u recieve that kind of smilies, ur phone will display correctly.

For kissing simley use ":" , "-" and "*". Forgot that while browsing thru WAP u would get smiley picture without knowing what symbols r used...

@spyder: Haha, u r not the only one... T68i simply doesn't have square brackets in symbols.

For all intrested in full list of smileys, i suggest u visit Goodan's wap site: http://www.goodan.com.au/wap2/smilies.htm
