Any dongle that supports the neccessary BlueTooth profiles should work. TDK and MSI are the most common ones. I have Trust BT on WinXP and Win2000, never had a problem with it (they use Widcomm software)

You still need to provide a driver for any type bluetooth dongle.

@stevenlau:
Everything on USB is Plug-n-Play, but you will still need to install the drivers. When you buy a BlueTooth dongle, you will get a CD with drivers with it. First install the drivers, then plug in the dongle, and you are ready to go.

Just to confirm that the 'Penblue USB BLUETOOTH Dongle' works fine with the T610 and also HBH-30. It has the added advantage of the headset profile so you can use your PC's speakers and microphone to make a call. You can also use your BT headset as a speaker and microphone for your PC (may be for AIM type things).

I got mine cheap on eBay for Ģ25:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3038778329&category=42392&rd=1

Or Ģ55 from:

http://www.blucom.co.uk

With regards to software, it comes with drivers for XP, 2000, ME and 98SE. Think I read somewhere that W95 and W98 1st edition don't support BT, but could be wrong. I've tried it with W2K and everything works well.

Tip!
When choosing a BT adapter, don't be fooled by the quoted range figures. I bough one that quoted 40m. This will just about transmit around the house although there are some dead areas (behind thick walls etc). It seems to go through floors and plasterboard walls, but not brick walls very well.

I'd therefore advise avoiding a dongle with a shorter range than this, unless your phone will be right next to the PC. But if that's the case, you may as well go for the cheaper IR option anyway!

Hope this helps...

MSI mini review
(perhaps old news for many of you, but still..)
Well.. last friday i couldnīt resist buying a MSI MS-6967 bluetooth dongle. Got it from www.komplett.se for SEK 345, very nice price, for Sweden anyway..
Well, yesterday it arrived and I opened the box, containing the dongle, (short) extension USB-cord, manual and driver CD.
I must say that it was one of the most un-eventful hardware installations ever!
I inserted CD, installed sw, plugged the dongle in and that was basically it!
Paired both t610, S55 and HBH30 successfully and tried file transfer and syncing which went like a charm! Didnīt need XTND connect or Siemens Data suite either! The Widcomm/MSI software took care of the lot!
I can recommend this product highly for those of you searching for a BT-dongle! It didnīt cost more than my IRDA dongle and has a lot more to offer! (I will still keep my IRDA for ME45 and in case future phones come "only" with IR-eye though).

Cheers from 3X!

EDIT: I use Windows XP Pro, but test-installed it on a W2k computer at work too just to make sure it worked under 2k as well - It did!
*over and out*

I've had nothing but trouble with the older Bilkin 100m USB Bluetooth adapter. Apparently the new one is better, but the old one is still out in volume - it doesn't support many of the newer profiles.

Wish I'd gotten a Penblue one now, they were a lot cheaper too Supposed 40m range too.
