So I am probably going to return it tomorrow or the day after.
I would LIKE to get one of the new batch is poss. So the question is, has anyone here been to the Orange shop in Colchester and got a T610 recently and can tell me what hardware/firmware they have in stock?
I guess it would sound a bit off if I rang them first to ask?

I don't know if it is the right place to post my reply. I only want to ask about the new firmware on the myT610 website. Does that work? Should I do the things what written in the manual here at home or bring it to a shop? Does the provider (in my case:vodafone)cares about software upgrade? I have R1A on my T610 and the JAVA and the screensavers sux. They aren't very smooth.

Hey Mwright,
When my T610 was having it's firmware upgraded I got talking to the bloke doing it. He said that Orange haven't tested the new firmware yet so will not be selling the T610 with new firmware. Why would Orange do this? The phone works so much better with it installed. Quicker menu, brighter screen, camera is better and BT crackle has gone.
