The screen seems to be the killer for me - I set the screensaver to 10 mins and it's drastically improved the battery life

Hi,
I get about 2 days with about an hour of talking, 10/15 sms and 5/10 mins of GPRS usage. I also use SMan to kill running apps very often. The phone goes into sleep mode in 2mins.
However, I'm sure that we can get at least 3 days out of the P800 (with moderate usage). The only question is how ?

I noticed that the top four things that drain the P800's battery is:
1- GPRS
2- Backlight (If always Auto or ON)
3- Camcorder (Hacked version) if left running in the background.
4- Bluetooth (if Always On)
Now I get about 4 days with moderate SMS, lots of show-offs, a few games, nothing running in the background when done.
B4 that, i was getting one or 2 days.
P.S.- Also, you MUST consider your average reception.
Low reception = Battery Drain!
Cheers!

Mine last about 3-4 days! I dont really make any phone calls. But use about 5mb a day with GPRS, emails and internet! and heaps of sms!, MP3s, I use it more as a PDA then a Phone!

I just got my firmware updated, and noticed more battery drain, but I did upgrade my internet plan to unlimited 56k service. Using this eats my battery. I do make sure to close my apps usIng Tracker, but usually get a day...

With BT turned on I get about 3-4 days with normal phone usage, SMS sending etc. But if I use Opera or do something for a longer period of time battery drain will be bigger, of course.
Turning off non-essential programs is the best cure always for longer batt. life

No idea how you can get 6 days with that much use...
I can comfortably stretch to 3 days with average use, I have BT always on, and GPRS on lots (I don't beleive this affects battery life drastically).
I also use SMan to kill apps - it's great!
Edit: To the guy who gets 10 hours - get SMan, it's likely you have lots of apps open.
