Wap over CSD Settings:
.go to main menu
.select connect
data comm
data account
add account?
.enter the following parameters:
Name: GlobeCSD
Phone No.: +639172399
User ID: globe
Password: globe
. go back to Data Account
.select GlobeCSD
.select edit
check the following parameters:
phone No. : +639172399
user id: globe
password: globe
password request: off
data rate: 9.6Kbits/sec
dial type: ISDN
dns address:
.go to main menu
.select Wap services
option
wap profiles
add profiles
.enter the following parameters:
name: GlobeGSM
connect using: choose always ask or GlobeCSD
ip address: 192.9.163.34
.go back to wap profiles, select GlobeGSM, then edit
. check the following parameters:
chg homepage: Globewap
address:
http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.wmlc
connect using: GlobeCSD
ip address: 192.009.163.034
user id: globe
password: globe
data mode: connection less
security: off
show pictures: on
response timer: 150
.go select profile and select GlobeGSM
* to initiate Wap over CSD
go to wap services
select Globewap
-end-

just makin things clear. anyway, wap browsing over CSD is like calling someone at offpeak rates.
Globe's GPRS is like a 32kbps-40kbps connection using a faxmodem.
1MB of data (at P0.25/kB) costs P250. however, at about 9600bps using CSD (that's a transfer rate of about 1.2kB/sec), 1MB of data costs theoretically costs P41.60 only!

wow, nice calculation with wap using gprs or csd!!! i accidentally discovered about the csd settings when i used

wap configurator online; i got the txt msg, used it, until i realised that i don't have any more conncetion on wap nor balance on the account; but whats good bout that, i was able to check esato thru wap!!!
