I like the phone but something goes wrong with the menu.It cries out that is Siemens. And siemens menus are all a bit crap.
but honestly, a good phone.
In comparison to T610, I still prefer T610.
The main disadvantage of t610, is that it doesn't take pictures with 640x480.

Really?
- Buyers of T610 and ST55 are both 20-35 year old.
- Both phones cost 300-350US$
- Both phones have a similar size (ST55 smaller)
- Both phones have a simular screen size (TFT for ST55)
- Both phones have an integrated camera (VGA for ST55)
- Both phones have poly. ringtones (40 chords for ST55)
- Both phones have large memory (5Mb for ST55)
so...

As you've said both phones cost the same. TFT is a better screen but has huge drawbacks in power consumtion. I'll settle for the T610 STN screen and better standbytimes any day.
Sure the ST55 has a VGA camera. But as I said earlier it's kind of pointless when you can't transfer the images from the phone by IrDA/Bluetooth. If you go to a friend and he want's the image you've take you'll have to have you're USB-cable with you.... leaving out bluetooth might be ok (not for me but for a lot of people), but leaving out IrDA is just plain stupid.
The difference between 32 chords polyphonic tones and 40 chords polyphonic tones is mostly academic. Sure you can notice it on certain tones, but you'll probably never hear any difference. The sound quality of the used sound chip is much more important than 32 vs 40 chord polyphonic tones. And if I understood Eldar correctly he thinks the polyphonic sound quality of the ST55 is more like a 16/24 chord than a 40 chord one.
The ST55 memory system isn't dynamic (if I read the review correct), the memory is fixed for the different functions on the phone, which means that you can't use the memory for what you want, which is another stupid thing in a "multimedia" phone.
What about Bluetooth, Java, Themes? Does it have Picture Caller ID? Sorry this phone is a dissappointment.
As I posted earlier the menu system is butt ugly. In fact it's one of the ugliest menu systems I've ever seen on a colour phone. Hardly any colours are used in the menus, and look at the horrible icons. It looks like I've drawn them myself, and my artistic skills are at the level of a 5-year-old.
