DUTCH WOMAN'S FIREY CALL
A Dutch woman suffered burns to her neck and face when her mobile phone burst into flames.
It happened after she dropped the phone in a music shop in central Amsterdam.
The handset caught fire when she picked it up and switched it back on, a police spokesman said.
The 33-year-old was treated for superficial burns by an ambulance team.
"The battery got hot and then the phone burst into flames," said Jan Willem van Hofwegen, of Fame Music store.
"It was a Nokia. We later heard she had used a replacement battery."
A Nokia spokesman in Helsinki said similar incidents had happened in the past.
They were always related to faulty batteries from independent electronics manufacturers, the spokesman said.
"We've heard about phones that overheated, melted and, in the worst case, exploded," he said.

I had the 7650 before my P800, the 7650 has a better cam and the night mode works unlike the P800 but as for everything else the P800 is much better if you get the nokia you will REGRET it for the rest of your life

I got R2F and the night mode has no effect, when you point the cam at a dark area with a small bit of light its ment to amplify the light by making the shatter stay open longer and make it light up more

ok, which do i get
obviously the p800 is much better than the 7650, but thats why it costs twice as much.
my question is, is the extra cost justified by the the extra technology/utilities etc?
thanx

No contest....
P800 all the way....
Size, shape, technology, ease of use.
Only downside to P800 for me is not being able to edit Microsoft Office files; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Not that I personally support MS products, I use them at the office....

My P800 only cost my £150 on contract, how much is a nokia?
As for mad Amsterday woman and her exploding phone! If she dropped it, and it turned off, then when it turned on it burst into flames, it begs the question, why did she turn it on with her tongue??? Or was it her nose! :lol I tend to turn my phone on with my thumb then look at the screen, not press it up against my face??
