another option is getting the amr codec, then you can listen to amr on WMP . Lol, 3 years old !!

when i try to record a voice memo the voice memo comes out perfectly, but if i try to record a conversation (one of the phone's many wonderful features) the recording comes out garbled- sounding like a tape being played in fast forward or something like that.
