Surley it isnt free because you have to phone a freefone number, which they charge you for, at least they do in the UK

His later posts contradict his opener. One minute he's not using Gprs and the next he's exploiting a Gprs flaw. The whole topic is riddled with contradictions. This message was posted from a T300

You don't dial up for GPRS. If you dialup you use CSD/HSCSD, and pay for the length of the phonecall, not data downloaded. If you use GPRS you pay for data downloaded/uploaded since you are perminently connected. Some providers offer free GPRS, but if you use dialup you will still pay for the phonecall

@steven24 - If ive understood u - u cannot use the orange wap data account with ur aptop - you will need an 'internet' account setup - I can PM u details if you are on contract - if u r on payg - ring the helpdesk.

I'm in the same boat as tactix(are you the tactix from wapoc? I guess you are since you mentioned it on there) I would also like to know a gprs backdoor if there was one.

Atleast in India they charge for HSCSD as per duration of your call made to local ISP. For GPRS, monthly charge is Rs. 99 ($ 2 approx) for unlimited access. I guess even you must have been charged for call made to your local ISP. If not then you are pretty lucky. I must complain regarding the bug to your service provider. ;-) (just kidding) This message was posted from a T68i
