sounds interesting.. gonna check that out today from a friend that works in a SE support centre

edit: I talked to my friend now and he have not heard about a new firmware, they always get it before it comes out so they can learn all changes..

As it will be the seventh version of T610 SW available and only 3 that i know have been released.

R1H was the T-Mobile branded firmware... but they now have R1L as well.

I had my firmware upgraded.

Pros: 1. Turning the joystick left and right in camera mode can change
the color of the image.
2. Default Time appears in a smaller font and i think is more
readable now.
3. Menu browising is a bit more faster I think.
4. Faster GPRS access ( I thave not tried this though ! )

Cons: 1. When in text input mode, pressing the C for a longer duration
does not completely erase the words. It goes character by
character erasing each. I think this was better in the older
firmware version.

yeah there is a thread here that covers all the changes in R1L.

I just tried the deleteing text with 'c' key and it still deletes word by word except for the first word where it does it by character (and I do have R1L too!)

SE deny that there are any new firmware upgrades available for the T610 and say there are non in the pipeline. Latest version is still R1L.
