I guess the only thing I can do is use the WAP service to check my mail. I finally went onto the mobile internet and ATT has a site that allows you to set up any email account. All I did was put in my email address and password, and it did the rest.
Thank you,
Eric

Ehenn:
Definitions:
Service provider: Your mobile carrier
ISP: Your Internet Service Provider
When you set up the T68 e-mail client you need to specify a data account with the appropriate phone number and login info (this would be the same as if you were logging on via a desktop/laptop) for your ISP (Earthlink/Mindspring?). You can retrieve POP3 mail from any location but you must use the SMTP server from the ISP from which you are dialing in to.
To the best of my knowledge, none of the US carriers (service providers) provide SMTP mail capbility for their users. Yes, you can use WAP if you want but, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of the mail client in the T68.
Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a Genie sim and use Genie email. Recently I have been receiving email alerts through sms and gone directly to email in messages using a T68. It starts to receive and then cuts out saying I have no new mails. Yet when I go to the genie wapsite I see my new mails and can access them. Both my pop3 and smtp addresses are correct, and this has only started 2 weeks ago. Any ideas? Thanks
