I expirenced some problems myself with several software-versions.

First of all it keeps freezing, on both SW states.
This is my second T68m, got a new one after first service
Then I upgraded the SW to R2B and it still freezes, and has started to turn itself off while changing profile (pickin it out of my HCH-28, Carholder).
And the day before Easter it broke completely, when I received a call - I hears a noice, and wasnt able to hear the person calling, tried to call from my T68m and the same error occured, same noice.

And Im not sure if it was a swap unit I recieved after the first service - probably was. According to Swedish Customer Laws Ill have right to return it if the same error occurs 3times or more!!

So now Im using a phone in the same size of beercan - Nokia3210 but it does work!!

Peanut > You're right. It was said that the current software (R2B)for T68m holds the mms-capability.
This could have been true,..because its possible, that the operators would have a so called "software-switch" that they can turn on, whenever e.g. mms is available.

Imagine: BMW releases a new car tomorrow with an engine that actually isn't really finished design-wise. Imagine BMW already knows (!!!) that all the customers who buy a car fom the first batch need to come back to the dealers in a few months because some fine tuning on the engine needs to be done that makes the car drive 30% faster.........

Whole car industry shocked I guess......What do you think the dealers say?, "Oh thank you Mr CEO from BMW that your giving us all this extra work for nothing"

I sure think that SE didn't like the idea that they had to upgrade hundreds of thousands of t68m units to t68i phones. The extra workload they have to put on their service centres!!

Another thing is the big difference between t68m and t68i, this time it will not be just the freaks who want to have their phones upgraded but a very large percentage of the t68m users.
Big difference with the current situation gentlemen! For example, only the very heavy users of e.g. a t39m or R380 are having their phones upgraded to the latest SW versions. I think only 1 percent of the current SE users worldwide actually has a clue what a firmware version is!!

Maybe i'm going a little too far here, but I still believe that there is a very very tiny chance that my theory isn't a really ridiculous idea.
