the flip is indeed removeable. I have spoken to contacts at Sony who have shown me the prototype It was a dummy model so it didnt turn on but the flip could be removed at the bottom through connecter (its just I lil bit of metal that sticks in.) I think the pins behind the flip were causing problems with cracking the screen so they decided to change it.

How anyone be sensible you guys want a superphone is this sensible? How can you expect the companies to live if they make a superphone and everyone buy that phone then no one at least for many years want to change this phone! and how the company lives ?They have a plan there they dont expose all at once!! you all must be sensible and dont ask for all these things imidiately its a phone and not a computer at least not yet,

which one of the requests (talking about the sensible ones only) would make it a super phone??? everything suggested is just a refinement of what we already have. The only two things which is asking too much is

Longer battery life without making the battery huge and heavy

and a 1.3 meg pix cam only because this would bump up the price significantly.

I almost dont want anything with this phone exept the better screen that is and the mp3 ring tones.

When SE selected the s/w package for the P800 they left out the original EPOC Word and Sheet applications - these were compatiable with MS Word and Excel. Adding these apps backwould make a big difference to the utility of the P800 - BUT would mean that the P800 would compete with the Sony Clie range more directly!

Please, nothing on my list is so crazy that it would be impossible to do. Many of these are things the phone should have had in the first place (i.e. t9)

the biggest things would be

Wi-Fi
100 M Bluetooth Range
Longer Lasting Battery
1.3 MegaPixel camera

Wifi and a Longer Lasting battery should not be to hard to make even, i mean an IPAQ has WiFi.

Biigest thing would be 1.3 Mega Pixel Cam that was even promised to us.

Well i think tha p900 is nothing more than a p800 with 65k and some minors updates,so dont expect much man and im not going to buy it ,cause it offer almost nothing exept the 65k i like the screen but not so much to pay another 800eu.and my next phone must have all the p800 has and more/At least 65k screen and bigger prossecor and video conference only then i buy another one if my p800 fails to satisfy me that is .
