You said you were using a dongle. That means you cannot set the IR adapter speed from BIOS, only the COM port's. Assuming that your dongle is USB, you will have to set the speed form the IR adapter properties page in the device manager.

I'm having the same problem with the same brand IR adapter. Yes it's installed properly (Wireless settings can be found in control panel), yes IR is turned on on my phone. He's right it comes with sigmatel dirvers, you can change to others such as infieon (something like that), and there is no where to change to half-duplex.

I'm also using BAFO Ir-usb which is working well with my T610 and T68i. only problem is that while trying to download images using Image Editor, my T610 is not detected. Even with cable, my t610 is not detected. Funny thing is that both IR and cable connect well with my T68i and I download without problems.
NOTE: I only have this problem when using Image Editor. Any H E L P ?

no irda doesn't suck, win me does....it has bugger all drivers in it! and crashes every three and a half mins
Have you made sure that the devices are working properly in device manager? is usb enabled in the bios?
or, alternatively, have you tried dragging and dropping the file you want to send over the "send files to another compuer" icon, on the desk top????

Can't get the version of Image Editor now cos I'm not using my office PC; but it came bundled in the T610 cd. Though I can still trasfer images easily through the IR dialogue box; I want to use the Image Editor to enhance the images and cut them to fit theT610 screen properly. As I said earlierI don't have this problem with my T68i, so I don't think it is a Window's problem. I use windows xp pro in the office.
