Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but with Bluetooth it's not just the cost of adding the BT chip, you have to pay a licensing fee to use it aswell. Thats where it costs so much.
That's incorrect, Bluetooth is an open standard, no license costs.

Its sucks....
Not rich in functions like the P800, besides, I dont think that it is ideal to put a smartphone features in a bi-valve design, it really sucks ugly too...

I wonder if the media player can handle mp4 ect? does that all come under quicktime and apple? or will MS be able to licence the codecs from them or something?
I dont like the flip carry on, i think that SE have the right idea with a large touch screen, they just need to make everything else smaller which is just a matter of time
Also if anyones interested theres a load of pics at

hi there,
I don't know about this phone, but I tryied the Orange one and it really sucks, the M$ smartphone is a joke... I was using the windows media player and the phone crashed, it was so bad that I needed to remove the battery. Talking about the media player, M$ only supports their own format, wma and wmv ONLY as usual.
Best,

just curious....
why all "other" phone wannabies pick on SE, specialy P800?
where infact it sets the trend of design in multi-function phone...
i think SE is just letting this "rouge disciples" jump in the waggon, and lets burn, then SE has a new concept up its sleeve so they'll be chasing its arse once again...
pathetic....
where in fact they could think of something new that could place them ahead in the industry and earn their respect in the market
:)

whats all this about no licensing costs for B/T??
there so is!! quick calls to Nokia tech support told me that one!
its why they dont have B/T because its too expensive to put it in,
think of the Nokia that have it!
6310i - Business phone (gonna sell shed loads)
8910i - Dead expensive so gotta justify the price sumhow!
3650 - camera phone p800 rival! needs it!
if it was fre to do it dont you think every pohne on the market would have B/T?
c'mon people! use your heads.

the module still adds additional cost, even if not via royalties/licences costs. It depends who the phone is aimed at
