The software wont be the same. I agree we T68m users will get a MMS upgrade but it has never been mentioned anywhere that we'll get picture phonebook etc... At least that's what i think.

Support Chief Magnus Nilsson, and he told me once T68m is updated with the new SW the phones will be identical in all ways accept for the design!
Could be lying though - but you are right they never told us that we will get pict. phone book etc.

True they never mentioned it, but the beta version of the software on the T68 had all the bells and whistles thats included in the T68i .... if this is not included in the T68m upgrade... no worries ... this will be my first and last phone I buy from
, so I hope they enjoy the profit they made from me, coz it'll be the last.

The OS on the two phones are not the same. Per Alksten SE told that. They are not completely alike,..e.g. battery-times.
The software should have same features,..although they might be different in version-number, and in the way they are made/built/the way they work.
Because of the diffferent OS, I dont believe that the two mms-software-versions are completely alike.
BUT they should have the same features according to SE.
That would also explain why you cant "just" use the T68i software on the T68m, right

The owner of the car wanted my dad's phonenumber once, so I picked up my t68m and felt good about myself for having such a nice phone.
I'm expecting him to pick up a nokia or something, but he picks up an t68i.
So I mentioned to him that I wasn't expecting that =) He says that he works for ericsson, so he got it.
I take the opportunity to ask about the upgrade, and the answer I get is that it's comming, end of this month, or end of may.
Then he tells me that the hardware is the same in t68m and t68i, it's just the software that is different.
So the t68m isn't getting the same software as t68i. The software to t68i was complete before t68m's software.
But the content is the same though.
So: different software, same content!
Bet this is old news, but just to make clear.
...and then he tells me that he can get me the upgrade if I give him my phone for a couple of days
