Thats what i want to do, what firmware did your T610 have in? i done it before through him but ive had the phon´s firmware upgraded at a SE service point and they relaoded the vodacrap, I have R1L013 firmware and he told me that i needed to open up a email account that could take a 4Mb file he had to send to re-flash the phone, i opened up a yahoo.co.uk email account (6Mb) sent him the new email account but had no repley from him

Did you just flash the GDFS area to remove the menu icons also and restore the right soft key functions or do you have to reflash the AVR as well.

Hi, all he´s just emailed me so im now smiling, he asked what file i needed and a valid email with 4Mb fre space, i will let you all know how i got on when i flash the phone

My firmware has been upgraded to R1L013 in a SE service center. And yes, to remove predefined items of my operator, I have simply flashed the GDFS area. It contains all default pictures, ringtones, games, wap settings, etc. So my mobile is a default SE phone now

I got lucky with my O2 T610 - completely unlocked and sim free with no operator content.
