The Orange WAP site is surprisingly impressive - on the "Your Page" bit, I have local weather, local cinema settings, train timetables, TV guide, language translation etc etc etc. Best is the find-your-nearest function. This figures out where you are, and then tells you where the nearest cashpoint/pub/takeaway/whatever is, and will give you exact directions and a map also if you want. Simple and practical - it's what wap has needed for a while. It's also pretty fast, since it's on Orange's internal network.

As for the rest of the internet, yes you can access it through their WAP gateway, but this only works with the P800 browser. Unfortunately this means you have to scroll massively around these pages, since the screen isn't high-res enough. If Opera could do this trick, it would be perfect..............

I did OK to stay there for the duration of SOAD and take photos. I am not as big a fan of Metallica as System Of A Down.

Are there any more photos from Reading, taken with your phone camera?

Thanks for the info on the WAP connection, I'll see what sites I can access on this and see what is possible without Orange charging me.
