Ive tried the M55 - and beleive me you do not want that phone.
Its boring - it looks nice - but the feel of the phone is very plasticlike and the functions and menusystem are pathetic and the Java implentation for games does not work well. Though the screen has more colors than T300 its still the same screensize and cluttered with menuobjects. You will regret getting a M55 - thats a promise

check out this review:

My advice to you for a midrangephone is to wait for the T330 to be released. This will be a much better follow up phone after your T300 - this will have a bigger screen with more colors, a much better menusystem than the m55, and more features.

Anyway I can test the phone for an half hour in a special shop.
When I come there i'll test the phone if it is any better than my current T300.
And what is wrong with the java?
I've found already something like 300java games and apps for M55

BTW gonna check out that link

Or if you like good screens - you also might want to check out the Alcatel 535 or the new Alcatel 735 (535 with camera)

They have the best colorscreens in this class - 4096 colors, 128x128pixels, screensize enormous 35x35 mm.

And it has IRDA

And it cost less than the M55 from Siemens even if Eldar from mobile review think its a much better phone than the Siemens M55

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/alcatel-535-en.shtml

check it out.

hey, i heard that the M55's battery lasts extremely short.... my friend owns one, and his usually ends up without batt at the end of the day! it might be an individual problem, but i suggest you ask around first.

and btw, there IS something i like about mophun: at least one can press more than one button simultaneaously... whereas for java, only 1 button at a time.

I never had used 2 buttons at 1 time.
And the Alcatel isn't available here

And the Nokia 3510i has a lower resolution but the images looks fine so with a 101x80 pix phone it should be even better

And I've asked around about the battery life
If you play much games on the phone and call much it will hold it about 10 days
Only the first 2 times it will be empty in no time

you mean the first to persons you asked, or only the first two times using the phones?

and i always use two buttons at a time to play honey cave. you know, to jump and move forward/backward at the same time, and sometimes shoot too. tt makes three buttons at once.

edit: first TWO, i mean. pardon the spelling.

ok crap. i screwed up my posting...

aniwaes, i was saying that i sometimes use more than two. i hope this doesnt confuse you. ah what the heck lemme rephrase:

"after much observation by myself, i have made a startling discovery. while playing honeycave on my t300 and getting slain by that beeeg fat bee at the last stage, i found out that i press a lot of buttons simultaneously in an attempt to perform impossible stunts to avoid getting slain (which still failed). eg, pressing 2 and 6 at the same time to jump forward. or let's say, 2+6+5 to jump forward and shoot. it sure beats pressing one button at a time as with java..."

i hope this is much easier to understand. and thademon, you still havent answered my question in the previous post.

Ok I understand it

And both alcatel phones aren't available here.

And i've tested the Nokia 3510i and that phone got less pixels than mine T300
And however the images and java on that phone really doesn't look bad.
So if I get an phone with more pixels than a Nokia one 101x80 and more colors than the T300 256 -> 4096 colors.
It should be a good step or not?
And I don't like really Mophun because I don't like the games on it and I found a lot of cool games for the Siemens

And I like the design more of the M55 than my T300

I hope you understand me now

The Nokia 3510i and T300 and M55 is available here to buy but not the Alcatels

NEwaes, why dun you wait for the t230? i think thats cool enough.... but if you like the m55's design, go ahead and get it. and why arent you considering the t610?
