If you format your disk... what does happens whith your upgrade and OS?

On a PC, formatting cleans it completly... even your OS !
If the P800 don't overwrite the OS, it's in fact not really a formatting...more a complete cleaning, and then i see no difference with rebooting it

Formating will whip ur whole c drive clean and put everything back once u reboot it from the rom drive a or z

Is it a real Rom drive or is it more a partition?

What with languages and update? Are they written in the Rom section then ? (not logic if you ask me lollll)

The OS (firmware upgrade) doesn't get touched - hence the difference between 8.5MB free and the 12MB capacity of the internal phone stick.

actually the firmware just gets flashed to a:\ or z:\. and on the internal format.. it just gets copied across.
the whole internal memory is probably just partitioned aswell but we the end user cant get access to change the files on a or z
