O2 seem to be doing a fine enough job (granted, i've only been with them just over a year). Believe me after you've been with 'Singlepoint' everyone else seems quite professional.

I was with O2 when they were still BTCellnet and they weren't too bad. However, as my contract progressed they got progressively more stupid and incompetent.
I was in an O2 shop the other day with my mate who was wanting to upgrade his phone to a P800 (after being suitably impressed by mine! Though he wasn't impressed enough to switch to Orange) and the chap in the shop was as thick as a Geordie's accent (no ofence intended there!).
We must have been there for easily an hour trying to explain to this cretin what my mate was trying to do. He just satred at us blankly, whilst the rest of the 'staff' just looked on like blinkered horses.
Eventually tiring of trying to communicate on an infantile level, we left and went to Orange. Mymate has now cancelled his O2 contract and taken on a shiny new Orange P800.

I have never had problems with o2 in the four years i have been with them. They have always given me loads of good offers with many free things included. Its just crap when their MMS service decides not to work or their WAP GPRS. Other than that they have been good to me. This message was posted from a T610

Robin hoods bay - ahhhhhh, happy days!!!

Anyway, I digress. Fact: Robin Hoods bay, and the area near to Filingdales is NOTORIOUS for black spots in networks. The only one to have a successful reception is Orange. Most network providers test their equipment -t'up-on-moors because of the huge radio interferance caused by the the early warning centre, not to mention the masts simply can't be boosted strong enough over the moors. Yeah you could possibly get a good(ish) reception in the towns themselves, only because the service stations will have the masts, but these are only low-frequency masts and will only provide a 2-3 mile coverage (big pants!)

As for O2, well, they're crap

@masseur, I had some fun reading the Oxymoron page, always remember Groucho Marx doing the "military Intelligence " gag in one of his films.

O2 are generally ok.... I use their pay and go service which is very good. The gprs maybe slow but its free.... Cant complain about that in the slightest! Agree though that some of their customer service ppl are as thick as 2 short planks....! This message was posted from a T68i
