Sheesh, you'd think the people here would be a little more accomodating to newbies.
There's a proper way of teaching newbies how to use the forum. No need to bash or use inflammatory words.

well
when u answer the same question 9 times a day and the answer is posted right under
it's kinda annoying by the end...
there is a manual for a reason.. there is a search function for a reason
there is archives for a reason and a FAQ for a reason

Er, so don't answer it...leave it to someone else to do it that way you won't get all upset about a newbie asking a question and you "having" to answer. Easy!

Seems to be an elite core who want a board with no topics now. How hard would it have been to say no? And someone else saying use the search after someone already said it is just pathetic.

cuz then the newbie will actually be all like "yeah, I'm gonnna use the search? pfff.. these guys r still gonna answer my questions"
so if they get burned, they will know better next time
it's conditionning

why dont we all try to be nice people?
next newbie, just answer the question and suggest that they use the search. As people have said, dont burn them... and we were all new once! i belive my first ignorant question was "how do i change the message tone" Use The Search!
and now i know!

well I dunno bout u, but I was never told to use the search function
I always did..
then again when I joined.. not many topics regarding the P800 as it was just released
but still, I used the search to get information regarding the phone..
it's just pure logic that a question such as "does it hv this?" wld hv prolly been asked already
so it is faster to search than wait for someone to reply..
it's forum etiquette no matter where u go

May I remind you (and everybody else this applies to) that this is a
forum for any and all users? Smart ones and less smart ones?
Experienced ones and less experienced ones?
Personally, I find this obsession over
newbies truly sickening. It's turning into a witch-hunt. Everybody with 20 posts or under seems to be prey to you guys.
If you must have an elavated place for only extremely educated P800 users, with an entrance exam and a very strict 'no questions' policy, maybe
you don't belong on a forum???
Gawd i am appalled.
rant over.
