Well, I want a CD-Burner separate from DVD (burner). That way, I can replace one without replacing the other
Besides, I really like the burner from Plextor
[EDIT]
and (last but not least) I feel an urgent need to fill at least two drive bays!

ah right... now where were we?
oh yeah... definitly 2 drive bays. I got my wife a vaio desktop with 80Gb and immediately stuck another 80Gb in there. mostly used for backups at the mo but we have about 40 digital video tapes that need editing so...

Well, I've got 3..or 4? external bays, plus 4 internal bays for harddisks. Right now I got a burner sitting in 1 of the external bays. When I get the new burner and the new DVD, the old burner is going out... (its only 16x, far to slow)

yeah I have seen 52x burners last weekend now thats fast!
btw I don't know if you have seen them but the second drive I got for my wife was one of those ones Western Digital 80Gb special edition drives with the fast spin (7200rpm) and extra cache (8Mb). I think they do them up to 160Gb now, possibly more

nice threadjack
i have a 52x cd burner... never run it at 52x though. usually knock it down to 40x, cant really tell the speed difference, cos its still 3mins for a full cd, and generally theres less errors.

@MixiN
Yeah, I think it's one of the smoothed threadjacks we have ever done
I agree, there isn't much difference between 52x and 40x, still it's good to know I can, if I have to....if I have some kind of a CD emergency
