You can create a background and theme to match the operator logo's color to make it disappear, or you can go to mypictures, and select a picture, and leave it on that

There must be a way, as the sim only holds the country and operator codes, so It's on the phone somewhere. And some people have mentioned that they have different operator names but the same operator. Now there's not that many firmware releases, perhaps It's something

service centers could do?

I have successfully hidden the operator logo (sort of). My idea of changing the op logo and logo outline to the same colour seemed to fail, as if it knew this would hide it. I then tried changing the colour to somethig very close but not the same, and it worked!
The background colour I am currently using is black, and the logo is now a very dark blue. Completely invisible unless you look very very hard. Give it a try... and if you manage to get the same colour b/g and logo text working, please let me know.
