Is there a way around this? maybe something else I could send? notes only work on phones. 3650 needs to be accepted. then what phones can actually be bluejacked?

i'm not totally sure, but i thought you send then contact then your phone says contact sent, then on the other phone it says contact recieved do you want to add [name of contact e.g. u've been bluejacked] to your contacts list? this is what they accept, but on your phone it'll still say contact sent even thought they don't aggree to but it in their contacts list, however this is different on different types of phones and depending what your sendind i.e a picture ect
Hope this helps

This is the procedure that i've got with 3650 and the new nokia N-Gage

Me:(T610)
Phonebook->Manage Contacts->Send Contact->"Previously saved funny message"->More->Send->Via Bluetooth

The Phone then proceeds to search the surroundings.

Devices found: Nokia N-Gage or maye Nokia3650->SELECT

It then shows the connecting screen with the bar moving and all

MEANWHILE ON THE NOKIA:
The 3650 receives a SILENT alert message box:
"Incoming Contact from Unknown User" [Accept?] [Decline?]

3 Things can happen at this stage

Scenario 1)
The Nokia User doesn't know of the incoming contact (esp. since there is no sound produced from the new alert) and the screen just stays at "Connecting" until my t610 automatically gives up after a while showing:
"Bluetooth Connection Failed" [Retry?]
The Alert then disappears from the N3650 and the Nokia user DOESN'T RECEIVE any Contact and doesn't know that he was just a bluejack target.

Scenrio 2)
Either Me or the targetted nokia phone moves out of the 15m range of Bluetooth,
My T610 will again display "Bluetooth Connection Failed" [Retry?]
Again the Alert just disappears from the N3650 and the Nokia user DOESN'T RECEIVE any Contact and doesn't know that he was just a bluejack target.

Scenario 3)
The Nokia User (who is playing some stupid game on his brick or sms-ing his buds to tell them how Nokia is releasing a cooler brick next week) notices the Alert. Clicks ACCEPT, GAME ON.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently, This asking for permission thing works for everything else bluetooth (i.e pictures, sounds)
But on SE to SE, ONLY CONTACTS sent need not go through any:
accept/decline crap.

I'm going to try if business cards (NOT CONTACTS) need permission from SE to Nokia when i hit the streets tomorrow.

sorry for long post.

The perfect site for you guys... step-by-step guides, tips & tricks etc.

When sending notes, you can only send them to other phones that also have the note function, eg. SE.

ANY device (PDA, laptop, phone) with Bluetooth can be bluejacked.

I just want to point out that if you send a contact to a Nokia it will come up as a business card.

I have Bluejacked a customer of mine a few times, and he has a 3650 -never had a problem. Maybe a setup issue?

I've sent him Rolex pics, middle fingers, the SE logo, a message from "nokiasucks.com", etc. He laughs every time and sends me back all sorts of rubbish like fat nude women and that - what fun it is to live in the future.

Love it, great fun. Try this at Reno/Tahoe Airport and watch the fun! I even got a guy while he was on the phone! His phone made a hellish sound...

I've bluejacked a hell of a lot of phones since discovering how to in this forum - often devices that come up as "unknown" fail but sometimes they don't. I always send a contact, never tried anything else.
I've had t610's, countless bricks, a few n-gages, phones with some very fascinating names ("Eagerbeaver", "GayBoy" and "BigBoy" to cite a few) and I am totally addicted !
As is my bf, who uses a t68i, but I often have more success than he does (I've got a t610).
I always play nice though, I send something friendly. I'm in the uk - and I find shopping centres (particularly Lakeside in Thurrock) to be places *full* of potential hijacks !

I've got a 3650- tonight I bluejacked about 3 T610's, one Palm PC and 2 7650's. Its awesome!!

I'm pretty sure my 3650 needs to confirm in order to recieve a contact or anything, but SE's obviously dont- so target them!

Errr, i think you came to the wrong place.... Most people here won't bluejack their own 'family'.
