T68iKING, the scoring in that game was correct as done the same way that the previous set of Playtime!!! games were done. Let me explain...
Basically the first possible scoring position is the one before the nominated winning position, in this case that first scoring position is 24. The multiple replies of wrath000 count as one, i.e. in position 24 so he gets the 5 points.
The first one after his multiple posts is considered as the winning position, i.e. fritz24 so he gets the 10 points.
Then if fritz24 had multiple posts (in this case he didn't) it would be counted as one and it would be the next person after his multiple posts who gets the final 5 points. In this case thats wrath000 again.
shithappens, no need to join anything as such, just watch for the playtime!!! threads started by tranquil or myself, find out which is the winning reply numbre in the opening post of that thread and then jump right in and post your replies!

Tranquil & Masseur should run two playtimes at the same time at one point in the future, that really would be Chaotic

yeah, tranquil did that during the last days of the last big playtime!!! sessions. Actually he did 3 games at one time. It was mad trying to get a strategy together quickly to watch each one and have a reply ready etc... my heart hasn't beat so fast for a long time!
We plan to do the same during this session too so you'd better be watching very carefully!

tranquil and masseur: can I make a suggestion for a tweak to the rules of Playtime to stop (or at least reduce) the multi-posting?
Set a limit to the number of posts each player can post in a Playtime thread (5 for example). Anyone posting more than that will be disqualified.
What do you guys think?

no, I don't think its a good idea because people will be scared to post early in the game in case they use up all their posts getting to the required winning reply... and if we are looking for say post number 35 then it would take at least 7 people participating in that game and that doesn't happen very often. It will be worse if we are looking for a larger reply like the infamous 99 that tranquil did last time!
Also we found that under pressure the servers sometimes do double post.
It did work quite well in the first playtime sessions a couple of weeks back so unless tranquil disagrees I think we should leave it the same.

Yeah that's fair enough. The suggestion was only prompted by the antics of wrath000 yesterday

Though I have to say I was amused to have sneaked my winning post between all his hundreds

yeah but remember multiple contiguous posts only count as one (the first one) so its still the luck of the draw who actually gets into winning positions.
Also your suggestion would make it harder to keep score and I think more rules take away from the fun of it all.
Hope you agree!
