One of the threads had a link that made a comparison of the P800 and the P900. It seems that my P800 can do anything the P900 can do as long as you have the 3rd party apps for it.
1) Themes = Tracker can do this and even more.
2) Video Recording = Camcoder is a capable cam but for only 10 sec. with no sound... besides i don't need it.
3) Better MP3 player = We have Ogg player, Unreal Player, etc. You can even change skins with Ogg player!
4) Photo Editing (outside MMS) = Personal Paint and Photo Editor even has more features and capabilities!
5) T9 = Well we gotta hand that to the P900. I've been using the p800 since January and I've gotten used to it. Don't think I need a T9 anymore. Besides there is Personal Jotter (predictive app for handwriting recognition) and eZiTap (predictive app for the virtual keyboard)... those two apps already make me happy with regards to writing stuff in the p800.
The list goes on...
One advantage of the P900 is that you don't have to spend money anymore buying 3rd party apps just to make your phone do more things because they are already built in. Therefore you can have more memory space of other apps for other tasks.
But look at it this way. People complain that the P800 was a jack-of all-trades-master-of-none type. Because it can do a lot but it still lacks some features. The P900 is a better jack-of-all-trades. It tries to do a lot more. This means that the added features might still be lacking for our standards. Although there is a photo editor, music player, video player... they still lack the capabilities of a specialized app. So we might still end up getting 3rd party photo editors, video players, and music players...etc. This would put more redundant applications in the phone which would waste more memory space.
In short I dont think I'm changing in the meantime... maybe the next generation of SE Smartphone.

OoOoh. I really don't think we'll come to the point where the phone would become a jack-of-all-trades-master-in-SOME. People will always find something to complain about
Personally, I might get the P900 (if I can get rid of my P800) because of the hard cover (was really suprised on how the P800 cover got easily scratched -- not so good when you move around a lot) and if the P900 has a better power management. I would really like to do more with the phone and recharge on a lesser basis

Just my two cents.

Don't get me wrong. I'll buy the P900 if I have money to waste. But at this point it's not practical. Just rationalizing myself so I won't get tempted. LOL!!!

The p800 was a fairly radical phone, so getting one early was a priority for me ( i bought back in January) however as the P900 has fairly predictable features, i will be waiting for a cheap one, as people get offered them on upgrade & find PDA phones too complicated or too big, they often sell them cheap, in favour of a smaller unit, i will be looking for one of these after xmas, or maybe a VERY cheap deal on contract, but i will NOT be parting with big money for a P900 as i think some VERY trick phones will be out next year.
The P900 will be a huge seller though because it doesn't look shit with the keypad on, like the P800 does.
Loads of people will buy it & never use it fully.

The UAE always had cheaper SE phones...
The P900 is estimated to be around US$700-800 based on current UK estimates.
Selling the P800 at around P25-P28K is a bargain if the P900 hits the stores at P42K or so.
I'm already selling my P800... still under warranty (duh, it came out less than a year ago!!!

)
PM me if interested.

You're lucky SE Philippines actually CARES about their customers.
You know, I've emailed SE Singapore 7 days ago, about the P900 and whether or not I can install T9 on my P800, and they still haven't given me an answer.
Not only that, I've been faithfully calling the SE Customer Service Hotline everyday, only to say "Our OPERATOR (note the single entity) is currently busy at the moment." and bla bla. EVERYDAY.
@Pachy: Personally I think my P800 is the most beautiful object around

I think the keypad even enhances the beauty
And to top it off, the P900 is total ugliness, SE did a PDA shape and look this time, might as well buy a PDA if you're looking for design.
Some people think the P800 stylus is flimsy, ugly, easy to lose, I think the stylus is what makes the P800 a P800. Why do you want a P900 stylus, which is almost like a PDA Stylus? So plain, so ordinary, I think the P800 stylus is pretty too

The P900 has already arrived here, sony ericsson has given my Boss one unit for evaluation. The expected arrival of units for resale they say is December, so better save up or ask santa for one. LCD display is better and looks bigger coz of the design of the casing. The jog, ir, shorcut buttons are still in the same locations as to their P800 counterparts, flip has its own leds for illumination unlike the P800 flip which gets it's light from the LCD, this means you have to pay more for replacements. It's size is comparable to the P800 with few minus on thickness thus add a little comfort in handling. Functions are basically the same just the addition of Communicorder app.
