Always OFF
cooler
easier in use with a screen protector ( I use my fingers for one hand dial )
the flip leaves marks on the side of the screen ( on the phone body where it touches it )

the flip protects the screen.
it saves you fiddling around with screen lock on/off, it locks on flip closed and unlocks on flip open. combined with sman's flipclose flush feature, you can flip it closed and stick it in your pocket knowing everything is taken care of. that to me is an invaluable feature when you're on the go.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? People already do this. I don't think its gonna be a problem that just goes away. Anyway flip off for me, only cuz my flip is broke.....
