Try to do this:
Check the value of keys in reester: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\... (0 - disable, 1 - enable). Just read the parameter name and change nessesary. After change reboot the computer. May be you can compare reester keys with reester on your laptop.

hmm, nothing to write home about in the registry. Theres only one entry named ServerStopped and i cant change it.

This is quite bizarre. The initial bluetooth configuration just keeps restarting everytime I go to My Bluetooth Places. Something must be corrupted in my xp setup. I read a thread saying i should reinstall windows but this seems a bit drastic, however if noone has any better ideas i guess i'll have to.

Fixed

To whoever is interested i reinstalled windows and fixed the problem, yay. I can now use bluetooth to transfer stuff to my t610, wahoo.

Now I'm having trouble synchronizing using XNTDConnect, not sure how to set this up, probably just not identifying the right port or something.

Any ideas?

Try checking the ports. There should only be one port enabled. I had two ports turned-on when I installed XNTDConnect, my PC could not see the phone either.

After doing that and it still wouldn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling XNTDConnect.

thanks for replying,

I've given up on synching outlook, I'm more interested in connecting via bluetooth with Float's Mobile Agent, do you know it?

Anyone know how to do this?

Try reading through this. See if it's any help.

Also, remember to activate only the COM port the phone is connected on in MPM, otherwise MPM gets sometimes confused and doesn't find the phone.

If you have never ran XTNDConnect before, open the serial port to the phone manually before running the sync.

You can also try downloading the most recent version of the communication suite, if you don't already have one. (You'll find a link to it in the thread I mentioned above)

hmm, i've managed to get everything to connect except float's program, could it be something to do with the device address, I've put it in correctly but still the errors. Is there a way to update and get a new address?

sorted

I simply chose serial connection with the correct port rather than bluetooth connection and it worked, what a plank.

Cheers everyone
