well who knows until someone actually tries it?
I should think (or hope at least) that it would be similar to windows and give you the option for auto update or to let you know there is an update available and give you the choice to download and install

@Jucame,
I doubt it will work properly with Virtual PC but you can always try. I've never got backup working with my P800 in Virtual PC so I use my old PC for that. I know, it sucks.

The actual link "was"
http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/P900/frameset.htm
which no longer exists!! this was applet based and automatically aloowed you to download setup111.exe, and after installation, reconnects to SE and updates the phone!! and all this would happen with phone in USB craddle!
Lets hope this comes back. Seen in some other forums that it actually worked. I did try, but by the time I got my cradlle..the link vanished!

No, you need access to the site, which doesn't exist anymore for this to work. I'm sure someone just explained this.

So far there hasn't been any (official) statement that would suggest online updates for T610, so you should find a

service center if you really need an upgrade.

Maybe just simple because it was a "test" site intern for SE, that just was online for a few test...
One thing is sure, a new just relesead phone don't need a surrely non-existing Update from the firmware.
