@pachy
your dead right of course id love one but is it worth it?
really? thats the point what new features have you got that i dont have on my p800? and dont say video cause i've been doing that on my 3650 for over a year now!!

i mean whats the point as the next phone will have enough 'new features to make it worth while, when the p800 came out it was ,like 'WOW' nothing like it before, but now with p900 its like oh thats a nice phone!! should have waited to get that 'WOW' thing agin as im sure the phone is ready it just a matter of the fact they messed up their timetable with the release of the p800 initially so we have the p900.. then the next BIG one P1000/P980

anyway im really interested in the Z1010 so will prob get that, then the next P*** series after p900

i remember when rumours of p900/p810 came out first there was a
thread about what features people would like to see on the p800 successor so lets do it again then seeing as most of peoples wishes where not answered..
maybe perhaps for all the people complaining about p900 being released and for people with it, what features then SHOULD be on this phone what is the "Holy Grail" if you will, right now for us in relation to the technology thats about etc what features would you like to see on this P1000/P980

thanks

I am of the opinion that SE will be releasing 'the next big thing' (TNBT) in the summer of 2004. To release a successor to the P800/900 would be insane for SE, they would kill of sales of the P900 and cause themselves much unnecessary financial loss.
SE have obviously spent a lot of money on manufacturing P900s and in the coming weks we will probably see an increase in advertising too, seems silly to waste money doing such things if SE are going to bring out a better model only a couple of months later.

Well look at it like this, i have sold my P800 & put an extra £135 to the money (includes a sim with some airtime every month), this is based on the £100 payment for the P9 pluss the monthly payments for the contract over the year, so even without the airtime, it's cost me £135 + P800.
The P900 MORE than justifies the extra £135 (its almost worth it just for the warranty, as my P800 would have soon not been in warranty).

When you get the P900 you realise JUST how many things are different, its a fantastic device, trust me.

It's up to you m8. Just ask yourself what features you need and he you need it now or in about 6 months. Cheers This message was posted from a T300

Ok, I don't know if this is still relevant but back in Feb... I was told that the successor of the P800 would have a 320x240 screen, be a lot thinner than the P800, and MAYBE EDGE or 3G data rates. The P900 doesn't have the screen res or the high-speed data that I was told... so I can only assume that the P900 is not the successor of the P800.

It seems to me that the P900 is NOT targetted at us P800 owners, but more at new buyers. The successor of the P800 should be announced in Dec like I was told (which is probably why I was surprised to see the P900 announced earlier)

Just my 2 cents.

@jplacson, Be carfull not to try a p900 out, because if you like the P800, you will find the P900 very impressive, & irresistible. It is completely rebuilt.
