Since I've not had another SE phone to compare my Z600 with, I start from a fresh palette.

My first battery charge lasted a day but that was largely due to my becoming acquainted with the phone, which is to be expecting, I guess. After that, the battery has lasted me 3 days but I'm still playing with it a lot.

I absolutely love the phone. Using the functions is very easy now that I know where everything is.

The camera is a bit grainy but it is actually a phone. If I want better pictures, I'll get myself a proper camera. Even so, it's nice taking pictures of my family to show my colleagues.

I'm delighted I chose Sony Ericsson for my current phone!

One thing I noticed also with the Z600 is that... when you're writing a message and a new SMS comes in, it will not alert. It will only sound when you've exited the write message interface. Didn't know that it cannot multitask... (just comparing it with the other phones I've tried... nokia 7210, 3650, SE P800)

Not at all. I think they are very strong and certainly feel better and more sturdy than what was on my last clam phone, the V3688.

I used it very briefly to set it up for my wife. But right now it's in its box waiting for Christmas to come. During my brief usage, it seemed pretty stable. Moving from menu to menu was a breeze (no hanging), and the ring volume was more than adequate.

No problems likewise using the phone and sms. Only thing I don't like is the predictive text for sms. It's different from the T68 which I'm used to. I guess it'll just take some time for one to adjust.

the Z600 can do some sort of multitasking. i was loading up a mophun game when i recieved a txt msg, i read the msg and closed it down. the game then carried on loading up. i wonder if it will do the same while actually playing a game

As far as I can see, the mext message alert will pop up and allow you to read and reply and /or exit during any task... except when you're already writing a text message

This was the same on my previous phone so not a big shock at all.

As for the hinges question: I think they feel very strong and solid. Only thing is the phone 'snaps' in place when I open or close it, which was a bit worrying in tne beginning

What a great idea this is personal review is...

Well... I just purchased my z600 a few days ago, after trading in the T610, I just got sick of the Vodafone interface. I had it flashed for the first time a few months ago and to my surprise received the original SE interface. Then decided to get it flashed again the other day... damn! Those Vodafone Live inputs we back. I got the sh!ts and decided to trade it in and my old t68m for the z600. I couldn't be more than happier. Don't get me wrong, I loved my T610, it was such a well made fone... heaps of features, so was the T68m in its day. Basically just sitting in my drawer doing nothing.

Anyway... my z600’s firmware is the latest R2F, and the only complaint is the cam pic quality... having said that, it is fantastic during the day.

I thought I would mention something else that I have purchased which i cannot praise enough. Because I am always swapping pics, and tones on my fone, I wanted something that I could do it with minimum of fuss...

Well let me introduce to you the Logitech De Nivo Bluetooth wireless keboard/mouse. This is without doubt one of the best investments I have made in such a long time. Kudos for Logitech on releasing such an awesome product which really goes hand in hand with my Z600. It detects my phone from anywhere in the room, I can send, receive text, answer voice calls from my pc using my HBC-60 headset... it just does everything, transferring and uploading pics, tones. Really enough cannot be said about it.
Do yourself a favour and have a look at it.

Anyone out there that might already have the De Nivo, give me your thoughts on it.

Lastly.... the Z600 by far the best fone I have had to date!
