The question then remains, do I tell them that the phone is loosely assembled or do I tell them something else? I'd hate to send it to them and have them sending it back telling me that there's nothing wrong with it.

Just tell them that its a piece of crap that the phone creaks like a old woman's knees. You bought a brand spanking new (and very expensive) phone and it should NOT be making sound slike that. Get them to sort it out.

@petrutms
Me too. I have both a T610 and a P800. I'm trying to sell my P800 so I can afford a P900. Anyone wanna buy it?
The again, this maybe is the wrong place to ask

Yeah..you need to contact Expansys and demand a new, creak-free phone.
Nowhere in the manual does it say you should expect your phone to make a noise akin to a castle door in a really cheesy horror movie.
They should be able to hook you up, somehow.
Although, I remember reading a review a few months back...either on mobile-review, or threegmobile where the reviewer did specifically state that the phone made 'squeaky' noises after a few days of use.
So, it might be something to watch out for for all you new P900eers!.

Yeah, I've written a mail to Expansys about the problem. I hope I can get a new one.
Btw, I called Sony Ericsson and the guy I talked to said that his P900 made creaking sounds as well, though I'm sure they aren't as loud as mine

It definitely seems like the phone is very badly assembled.
Btw, it would be great if people could post their firmware version and where their phone is manufactured (it's written on the phone under the battery) and state whether or not their phone is a squeaker

Mine is made in France.
